And my soul is troubled exceedingly:
but thou, O Lord, how long? (Ps. 6:4)
For my life is wasted with grief:
and my years in sighs. (Ps. 30:11a)
But what shall I do?
If I speak, my pain will not rest:
and if I hold my peace, it will not depart from me. (Job 16:7)

I will give you rest. (Matt. 28:11b)
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. (John 14:27)
Weeping may remain for a night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning. (Ps. 29:6)
For the Lord himself shall come down from heaven, (Matt. 4:16)
Then we shall be taken up together with them in the clouds
to meet Christ, into the air:
and so shall we be always with the Lord. (Matt. 4:17)

And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes:
and death shall be no more.
Nor mourning, nor crying,
nor sorrow shall be any more,
for the former things have passed away. (Rev. 21:4)

Performed by members of the 2012-2013 Wartburg Choir.
